The nuclear industry runs on one thing above all else: trust. Every engineer, every operative, every decision must meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance. That’s where Morson Edge delivers. Our teams support the full lifecycle of nuclear programmes, delivering cleared and competent professionals at every stage – safely, efficiently, and always on time.
Every watt of nuclear power depends on precision – in design, in engineering, in people.
The UK’s nuclear sector is entering a defining era: a new generation of builds, an ageing workforce, and an urgent need for skilled, security-cleared talent.
From legacy sites to new builds and small modular reactors, we provide the workforce solutions that keep the nuclear industry safe, compliant, and future-ready.
We’ve supported pioneers including Urenco, EDF Energy and Rolls-Royce SMR, delivering everything from embedded RPO teams to full project workforce mobilisation.
Because in nuclear, precision isn’t optional – it’s the standard.
With a legacy spanning over 50 years, Urenco required a partner capable of managing its end-to-end talent strategy – across permanent, contract, and statement-of-work hiring – in a highly regulated, high-security environment.
Due to an ageing population of skilled workers and a shortage of specialist talent, Urenco faced increasing difficulty attracting qualified candidates for critical roles.
The screening needs for these positions were complex, with rapid turnaround times required within restricted talent pools.
We implemented an embedded RPO1 model – a holistic talent solution encompassing RPO, contractor management, SOW delivery, and early careers.
Our onsite recruitment team handled all day-to-day operations, underpinned by bespoke technology through Vencuro, offering full recruitment visibility, analytics, and accessibility via ReciteMe integration.
We built a sustainable sourcing strategy by blending early careers engagement, redeployment, and proactive market mapping.
The results
As part of a proposed new nuclear power station in Suffolk, Waldeck was appointed to carry out a UAV survey across 275 hectares surrounding existing nuclear facilities.
The survey required high-precision data capture to deliver topographic drawings, orthomosaic outputs, and insights into land use for engineering design.
Through our partnership with Waldeck, Morson Edge supported the programme by providing specialist project personnel for ecological and archaeological works on-site.
Our recruitment delivery included 32 personnel across roles such as Ecologists, Clerks of Works, and Project Managers, ensuring operational excellence during pre-construction and environmental phases.

This partnership reflects our ability to combine technical engineering delivery with specialist workforce supply, keeping projects precise from the ground up.
The UK’s most ambitious energy project, Hinkley Point C, required over 22,000 skilled professionals across design, engineering, and construction phases – from civil to mechanical and electrical disciplines.
Delivering this scale of workforce safely and efficiently demanded deep industry understanding and localised delivery capability.
Working through Waldeck, part of the Morson ecosystem, we provided specialist engineering, BIM, and technical management services as part of EDF’s national engineering framework.
Our recruitment delivery included:
With a dedicated recruitment team in Barnwood, we identified and mobilised skilled professionals across project management, procurement, commercial, IT, and executive roles.

Proven track record supporting the UK’s largest clean energy project
Rolls-Royce SMR is reshaping the future of nuclear power through small modular reactors (SMRs) – compact, factory-built solutions designed to deliver faster, cleaner, more predictable energy.
As the UK’s largest start-up, Rolls-Royce SMR required an agile recruitment partner to scale its team rapidly and establish best-in-class talent processes from day one.
Appointed in 2022, we deployed RPO1 – the embedded recruitment model that combines digital efficiency with human precision.
