Case study: Thales

Streamlined managed service saves Thales £2million a year

In 2009, Thales needed a managed service provider for all contingent resources across all divisions. They trusted Morson Edge.

We built a strategic roadmap that reshaped their entire talent operation embedding continuous improvement, aligning with their culture and safety values, and creating a recruitment engine built for pace, control and consistency.

By directly hiring more than 90% of all contingent workers (around 600 new starters each year) we drove significant cost reduction and removed layers of unnecessary complexity. The model delivered sharper processes, a rationalised supply chain, stronger account management and complete governance across all hiring activity. Time-to-hire dropped from 42 days to just 10.

To further strengthen delivery, we introduced and managed a second-tier supplier model at a lower fixed margin bringing order to a previously fragmented ecosystem and ensuring Thales had the clear, accountable supply chain they needed to keep critical programmes moving.

The results:

Case study: TKMS

Morson Edge – a recruitment partner capable of supporting growth in naval systems division.

Atlas Elektronik UK (AEUK), now TKMS, required a recruitment partner capable of supporting growth in its naval and maritime systems division. The challenge: high-security work, niche skills and strict MOD compliance.

As a 1st generation MSP, Morson implemented a hybrid MSP model covering contract, permanent and Statement of Work delivery. We sourced SC-cleared engineers and project staff across mechanical, electrical, software and systems disciplines, managing the full hiring and clearance pipeline.
