As the world races to automate, people are the premium.
That was the message at this year’s Morson Group Annual Conference in Manchester, which brought colleagues together at Diecast for an afternoon focused on people, culture, collaboration and the future of the Group.
Centred around the theme ‘Human Premium’, the conference explored what makes Morson different in an increasingly automated world and how our people, behaviours and shared culture remain at the heart of everything we do.

With over 1,200 people attending from across One Morson, the conference provided an opportunity to reflect on how we continue to grow together.
The theme of ‘One Morson, one culture’ ran throughout the event, highlighting the shared values and behaviours that connect our businesses.
With four specialist businesses across the Group (Morson Praxis, Morson Nexus, Morson Edge and Morson Vital), each bringing its own expertise and perspective, the conference explored how collaboration creates something greater than the individual parts.

The afternoon began with an introduction from Morson Group’s Executive Chairman, Ged Mason, setting the scene for the day and reflecting on the strength, culture and future direction of the Morson Group.
This was followed by sessions exploring the people and principles that underpin our continued success, from the importance of a strong shared culture to the role our people play in driving the Group forward.
Together, the sessions reinforced a central theme of the conference: while technology continues to transform the way we work, it is our people, their expertise and the way we work together that continue to set Morson apart.

Colleagues then moved into their respective individual workshops, led by the Morson Edge, Morson Vital, Morson Praxis and Morson Nexus leadership teams.
The workshops provided an opportunity to learn more about each business, and for Morson Praxis in particular to explore how the Human Premium underpins our offering to clients through ‘The Praxis Principle’.

A key highlight of the conference was hearing from Jamil Qureshi, performance coach, psychologist and author.
Jamil explored the conference theme from a human perspective, sharing thought-provoking insights on performance, people and the qualities technology can not simply replicate. He explored the idea that we are motivated by what we seek to achieve and create, rather than what we seek to avoid, alongside the connection between how we think, feel and act.
His session brought the afternoon’s discussions together, reinforcing the importance of human connection, curiosity and the way we interact with one another.

The conference closed with the four Core Values Awards, celebrating colleagues who demonstrate these behaviours in practice and recognising the people who help bring Morson’s culture to life every day.
A huge well done to this years Core Value Award winners:
Courage: Stepping up when it mattered: Gareth McAllister
Collaboration: Bringing people together: Jenna Dyer
Curiosity: Challenging assumptions to find a better way: Peter Cliffin
Care: Putting people first: Becky Hicks

Following the conference, colleagues came together for a Western-themed evening of entertainment, providing an opportunity to relax, network and celebrate together.
From exploring the future of the Group to celebrating the people who make it what it is, the 2026 Annual Conference brought the Human Premium theme to life.
Because while technology continues to evolve, it is our people, our relationships and the way we work together that remain at the heart of One Morson.
