RPO1 for the UK’s Energy Transition
VPI Power, one of the UK’s leading power generators, operates five CCGT and CHP plants across the UK and is investing over £2 billion to support energy transition through hydrogen and carbon capture.
They needed a partner to manage all technical recruitment, workforce vetting, and compliance while scaling new build and decarbonisation projects.
Appointed in 2022, Morson Edge delivered a full RPO1 model, covering permanent and contract hiring across engineering, operations, and project management.
Our embedded account team supports workforce planning, onboarding, and performance management across all sites, backed by digital visibility through Vencuro.

UK Power Networks, operator of one of Britain’s largest electricity distribution networks, needed a partner to help deliver strategic improvements with an MSP. They reached out to us. And in 2021 Morson was awarded an MSP with UKPN to supply all engineering contract hires across the UK.

Case Study | Energos
Derby waste-to-energy facility
Energos, with Interserve, required a principal design partner to deliver a £4 million Waste-to-Energy facility in Derby, combining power generation and environmental innovation in one of the UK’s first municipal energy recovery plants.
Through Morson Projects, we deployed 60 engineers and modellers to deliver the plant’s digital design and verification.
Our team was responsible for process engineering, civil and structural design, pipe stressing, and SCADA/PLC integration – producing a clash-free, fully operable 3D Navisworks model ready for construction and operation.
