We partnered with a leading North American provider of electro-mechanical solutions for renewable power generation. With more than a century of engineering heritage and a multinational footprint, the client required a scalable talent solution to support operations across multiple sites in Canada and the United States.

We now supply permanent and contract talent across engineering, manufacturing, and site-based roles, generating approximately $1m in annual revenue.

The client operates in a specialist renewable-energy market with a highly constrained talent pool. A major regional utility one of the largest hydro producers globally, competes for many of the same niche skillsets. Due to an existing non-compete agreement, the client is unable to source directly from this pool, further restricting access to critical expertise.

In the US, hiring complexity was compounded by a market dominated by nuclear and fossil-fuel industries, resulting in fewer professionals with transferable hydro experience. In combination, these barriers limited the client’s ability to consistently attract specialised talent.

To overcome these constraints, the client expanded its external recruitment partnerships, selecting Morson Edge to provide specialist support and unlock access to new candidate pipelines.

We transitioned the client from ad-hoc permanent recruitment to a blended model incorporating contract labour aligned to their project schedule. A single point of contact coordinates requirements across two dedicated delivery teams one focused on engineering disciplines, the other on manufacturing and blue-collar roles ensuring speed, consistency and technical accuracy in every hire.

Since engagement, we have delivered 100% fulfilment on all released roles, enabling the client to maintain project continuity and meet customer milestones.

We are now exploring the integration of our PSL+ platform, providing a unified recruitment ecosystem for their managers, internal TA team and supplier network driving further efficiency and visibility across the hiring lifecycle.
